The button above will send you to an interactive rendering recently completed to show a private residence in Moreland Hills. We have begun to implement this strategy into our practice to allow people to virtually explore the spaces of a home before it is built.
We here at RSA architects proudly accepted the Cleveland Choice Awards, "Custom Home of the Year" award. The awarded house at Lakes of Orange was the best 2501-4000 square foot green built home. A huge thanks goes out to all of the staff here at RSA Architects and our partner Kertes Enterprises for their hard work and dedication to the award winning home.
Kertes Homes at Lakes of Orange now has virtual tours of their model homes, The Somerset and The Berkshire. You can explore these 3D spaces on their website or by clicking the buttons above.
RSA has been working with Kertes Homes by providing quality architectural and design work for 5 years. We are excited about every new model home that is created and are happy to be able to continue to work with Kertes Homes. To learn more, visit their website: http://kerteshomes.com/ B.R. Knez Homes has been partnering with RSA Architects on an Ohio City Infill project in order to create custom homes to help restore the fabric of Cleveland neighborhoods by reviving and building on empty lots.
Knez Homes uses innovative products and building techniques in order to create comfortable and affordable homes. They also strive to find the best locations by partnering up with top developers and are able to build in some of the finest neighborhoods. Both RSA and Knez Homes have similar values and are dedicated to customer satisfaction. Working together we are successfully able to build homes that a family will be comfortable in for years to come. We are excited to be working on another project with B.R. Knez Construction Inc. They are building new town homes located on Columbus Road in Cleveland, Ohio in a remarkable location near The Ohio City Rapid Station, West Side Market, Great Lakes Brewing Company and many other prominent businesses. These two bedroom homes are the perfect size for any type of family and the contemporary style brings a fresh energy to the area. We are happy to have received positive feedback from the community on this new addition. They are excited to have a building that has a pop of color in a primarily winter town.
Boral TruExterior Siding & Trim includes RSA Architects’ Costal Taco in their new product guide. This particular Coastal Taco project uses the Shiplap siding in their “Craftsman Collection”. Boral TruExterior’s siding gives the look and feel of authentic wood products, but without all the maintenance and upkeep. It is the only product available that addresses both moisture and movement related issues and is simple to install and paint. This amazing technology can exceed the performance of wood without losing its aesthetic quality. For more information on Boral TruExterior Siding & Trim visit: http://www.boralamerica.com/TruExterior
We are pleased to announce the opening of the newly renovated Chagrin Valley Little Theater. CVLT launched a “Putting It Together” campaign in order to improve their theater and to better serve their patrons and the community. Their goal was to upgrade their facility and provide accessibility to all areas of the theater. They were also in need of some repairs including: new roofs and windows and new heating and air conditioning.
RSA designed a space worthy of CVLT's mission and influence in the community. A dramatic red carpet was added through the lobby and main stage, a stunning custom light fixture, designed by Chris Crimaldi of the Glass Asylum, was a grand addition to the lobby, and ramps and handicap accessible seats have been added to the theater to increase access to the community. CVLT has been a big part of the Chagrin Falls community since 1930 and has thrived since it first opened. RSA is happy to have been a part of their growth to help renew the heart of Chagrin's Art District. This past week, the principles of our office Rick Siegfried and Tony Majc went to the 2017 NAHB International Builders' Show, located in Orlando Florida. This show is the largest construction show in the world. It brings together the industry's most important manufacturers and suppliers in order for them to showcase the latest products, materials and technology involved in all types of building construction. In addition to the products, the show also has over 160 educational sessions about everything from sales and marketing to construction and codes.
Some of the products Rick and Tony were particularly excited about were: point of use hot water heaters, heat treated wood rain screen siding, pre-engineered moment frame connectors, and zero clearance high efficiency wood fireplaces. All of which we plan on continuing to research to hopefully be used in our future projects. This show was a great resource for our office to stay up to date on the latest trends and products, which allows us to be able to give our clients the best designs possible. (Architectural Rendering) We are happy to announce Mentor Public Library's main branch will be opening their new lobby on, 1-20-17. The new lobby will be called the Killbourne Commons in honor of Terry Killbourne who served on the public library's board of trustees for 14 years. He helped the library in many ways including levies, labor negotiations and building renovations.
The lobby was in much need of an upgrade, with its low ceilings, lack of light and many physical and visual barriers, it felt small and closed in. The new design amplifies and expands the space to its full potential by elevating but also simplifying the patron experience. New furnishings, materials and finishes help open up the space by creating a light and dynamic atmosphere. A new, functional central “hub” was created to showcase new materials and create a self checkout area. Sound dampening materials were added to the lobby to make it more reader friendly. Additionally, continuing the library's effort of upgrading to energy saving lighting, we added new LED Direct/Indirect light fixtures to amplify lighting levels, create a vibrant atmosphere and provide decorative lighting. Mentor Public Library main branch's lobby will create a better experience for future patrons and keep the legacy of Terry Killbourne alive for many years to come. |
