Creative Mines, makers of stone and masonry veneer, features RSA Architects' Coopers Hawk Winery and Restaurant project in Jacksonville Florida. The use of Creative Mine's product "craft board form" provides a distinctive wall cladding material. It uses handcast masonry veneer from rough wooden boards that captures the texture, the detail and the natural color of concrete walls that have been formed by board liners. It's hard to believe, but summer has flown by and back to school season is upon us. We've had two great interns this summer who will be heading back to college; Alyssa Saltzman will be returning to Ohio State University for her sophomore year and Alex Walters will be returning to Miami University for her senior year. Both are studying architecture. We are sad to see you go, thank you for all your help this summer! We wish you the best of luck and hope you'll be back to join us during your winter breaks and next summer!
Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar in Gaithersburg, Maryland, RSA's most recent Paladar project, was featured in this month's Restaurant Development and Design magazine!

NCIDQ, the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, has issued professional certificates to interior designers who meet the requirements for education and experience and pass the rigorous NCIDQ Exam since 1974.
We are excited to welcome Alex Walters to the RSA Team. Alex is a graduate of Gilmour Academy and is a rising senior at Miami University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. Alex is interested in sustainable design and hopes to attain a professional credential through LEED or the Passive House Institute. She is interning at RSA this summer and utilizing her Revit modelling skills to help complete projects. In her free time Alex enjoys playing volleyball. Welcome!
We've had a busy spring here at RSA with several of our restaurant projects opening or nearing completion. 101 Beer Kitchen opened in Gahanna, Ohio (northeast of Columbus) on March 16th just in time for St. Patrick's Day. This is the second location of the "gastropub" known for its seasonal, local products and craft beers. Lunch and dinner are served seven days a week, with brunch service starting April 25th. RSA began design work in March of 2014 and wrapped up construction documents in October. The building was a former Blockbuster Video and required complete interior renovations. The final result is an approximately 5,000 square foot restaurant that seats around 185 guests.
A local home renovated by RSA Architects recently sold after just 3 days on the market. The historic residence in Chagrin Falls was built in 1900 overlooking the river and boasts one of the only private views of the waterfall. After the home was badly damaged in a fire in 2011, RSA redesigned both the interior and exterior of the home to maintain its traditional character while accommodating a 21st century way of life.
RSA is committed to the professional growth and development of future architects. We employ a variety of staff from different backgrounds in the architecture industry- licensed architects, technical draftsmen, interior designers, as well as intern architects and student interns. These interns play a vital role by providing support to the more tenured members of the office, allowing projects to be completed more efficiently.
We are very excited to launch our new site- it's been a long time coming. A few of our goals with the site are to showcase our project photos, introduce a company news section, and stay up-to-date with our online presence. Most of all, we want to help our current and future clients get to know us and our architecture! Let us know what you think, email info@rsaarchitects.com or use our new contact form at http://rsaarchitects.com/contact.html
